MEET
Sharla Dance has a degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University. When her daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age seven, Sharla delved into research about how the brain learns. Since then, some of her research and experience has centered around music in a group setting for special needs children. She also started applying her research to Primary music and has continued to learn and teach workshops, helping church music leaders learn principles and brain research that can make them more effective in teaching children.
This website is a resource in addition to the workshops that Sister Dance teaches. You will find many useful activities here. These activities are ideas to use with multiple songs, not just one or two, as well as using the principles and brain research that are on the blog. Please use the ideas freely, adapting them to the needs of your particular Primary.
